We’re reaching out to welcome you to this year’s Booster group and say a huge thank you for offering your time and talents to support our school. It truly takes a collective effort, so thank you.

IMPACT SO FAR

Fueling Our Staff: We stocked the staff breakroom with coffee, creamers, and all the fixings to help our amazing BCE teachers and staff power through these first few weeks.

Sweet Treats for the Picnic: We provided delicious cookies for everyone at the Back to School Picnic to help welcome families back to school!

Bessie Coleman Bike Bus: The Bike Bus is up and rolling! By the time you read this, our student riders will have met 4 times to pedal to school together safely, thanks to our fantastic volunteer ride leaders.

Teacher Classroom Grants: We are thrilled to share that the Boosters have designated $200 per teacher in this year’s budget for classroom supplies, learning tools, and special activities to directly support our students.

UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Staff Appreciation

BCE Boosters Staff Appreciation Committee met earlier this month and decided it would be wonderful to celebrate our staff on a monthly basis. We need your help to make it happen! Some months, the Boosters will purchase all the goodies but other months, we will need your assistance and culinary expertise.

Coming up in the month of October, join us in feeding our staff during conference days with Spook-tacular Soups. Please bring in soup to share on Wednesday October 28th before 11am. Please pick up your containers (if needed) by the end of the day Thursday, thanks!

Family Math and Game Night

Family Math and Game Night is coming up on Tuesday, November 10, 6–7 p.m. at BCE and we need volunteers to help make it happen!

Come celebrate all things math! We'll have interactive games for kids and families at all math levels, plus a Math Gadget "Petting Zoo" where you can try out different calculators, math tools, and games.

Have a cool math gadget or game you'd like to share? An abacus, a slide rule, a sweet calculator? Show it off at our Math Gadget Petting Zoo! Just label it with your name so we can get it back to you. No need to sign up, just bring it with you.

Please note: Math Night is not a drop-off event. Adults are expected to stay and supervise their child(ren).

OUR NEXT BOOSTERS MEETING

Join us Tuesday, October 13th from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Bessie Coleman. Pizza will be provided, and kids are welcome! Please RSVP here by Oct 9th so we can get an accurate headcount for pizza.
