Oregon Battle of the Books

December - March

A reading competition that brings students together to read, discuss, and compete on a shared list of books. Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) builds a love of reading through friendly team competition, and runs across several months with a few key milestones along the way.

  • Classroom visits: December, introducing the program and book list to interested students

  • Team meetings: January, students meet regularly to prepare for the school wide competition

  • School competition: February, teams compete to represent our school in regionals

  • Regionals: March, our school's top team competes against other schools in the region
